Client's Brief
The Elemis Spa at Aladdin is an oasis where you can refresh mind, body and spirit within 32,000 square feet of unsurpassed luxury. As you enter the spa, the richness of the Moroccan culture presents itself to you in a paradox of opulent, yet Bohemian architecture and design combined with traditional artefacts. The spa is a place that seduces completely the five senses of sight, sound, touch, smell and taste, whilst delivering a sixth sense in the form of perception with spectacular interior design.
Approach To Design
The journey begins along a decorated walkway that leads to the spa reception area. Stone columns decorated with Moroccan motifs create a soothing relaxation area where guests can sit and consume the ambiance. For peaceful indulgence there are three suites, where multiple therapies can be enjoyed in one area. Each suite comprises of two complimentary deluxe treatment rooms, which can be divided in times of high demand, connected via a private courtyard reminiscent of the courtyards of Moroccan dwellings. Each suite is decorated with furniture from Moroccan antiquity, ensuring every room is unique and no two visits to the spa will be the same. There are a further 35 private treatment rooms all of which are equipped with showers and are decorated with ambiance. This also includes a special 'high rollers' treatment room, specially equipped to provide a space to relax after an encounter at the tables.
Completing the services offered there are separate men and women's sauna and steam, a large fitness centre with both cardio-vascular and muscle-strengthening equipment, and a fully facilitated hair and nail salon. There is also a specialist-grooming centre, fully equipped with all the amenities you need to prepare yourself to return to the world, which may look a little different after a few hours in the spa.
