Client's Brief
Following closely with Crystal Cruises philosophy of creating tranquil 5 star plus facilities, the Spa & Fitness Center of this ship combines Zen influenced Far Eastern architecture with the principles of Feng Shui. Planning with gentle lines and a flowing rhythm fused with the use natural materials creates a physical and spiritual atmosphere which relaxes the senses and enhances the body treatments on offer.
Approach To Design
The high traffic areas of the Fitness Center and Hair Salon are carefully positioned around the ships circulation core whilst the spa treatment suites are positioned in the quieter aft area. The relaxation suite takes the prime location central to the suites for easy access and a dramatic view of the ships wake. A mix of wet and dry treatment facilities in each room ensures operational flexibility to maximise revenue potential.
