Company Profile
The History Stephenjohn Design was originally formed as the design arm of a health and leisure operator to design the award winning ‘Roman Spa’ on Norwegian Cruise Line’s SS Norway, which is still considered to be ‘the renaissance of spas at sea’ within the marine industry. Conceived as an independent consultancy in 1992 by John Picken, Stephenjohn Design is now a well-established commercial interior architecture and design practice with over 15 years experience in designing interiors for the health, leisure and hospitality sector. As well as projects for 5 star hotels, our Marine Solutions Team has designed over 40 spas and solariums for some of the biggest clients in the cruise industry including Queen Victoria for Cunard and all the Royal Caribbean fleet. The Future Led by our Managing Director, Chris Turton and supported by our lead designer, Stephen Fraser, Stephenjohn Design is currently undertaking an internal brand development process that is the start of an ambitious, but achievable 5 year expansion plan, with a remit to be a leader in our field and raise the standard of design in our profession. Furthermore we are currently developing a project based design workshop that aims to integrate you and your design team with our internal design process. This will be fully supported by our new office team structure that allows for project specific teams, enabling clarity and transparency in all parts of the projects undertaken, whilst building trust with our clients. With a multi-experienced team of designers and support staff, Stephenjohn Design will provide a project specific team with an optimized team structure designed to maximise the potential of any brief. Our promise on all projects is to ensure that the brief is treated with individuality, originality and care. Through thorough research and comprehensive design development we believe your project will be a huge success and groundbreaking in its inception, whilst adhering to financial commitments. ‘Stephenjohn Design will always look beyond the boundaries of the brief in order to design and deliver projects far beyond the expectations of you and your company’ Chris Turton - Managing Director
