Although we have set out our general terms and conditions based on many years international experience, we are always open to further discussion to adapt our service to meet the requirements of the many varied clients we meet within the course of the project we undertake.
1. Unless supplied by the client, we undertake work with a contract using the ‘Form of Appointment for Interior Design Services’ as set out in the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) approved document ID/05-2005 in association with BIDA (British Interior Design Association).
2. Stephenjohn Design will only proceed onto the next stage of each once written confirmation has been received from the client or the clients appointed representative.
3. Unless through prior agreement, expenses and disbursements incurred during the execution of a project and as agreed under part 1 and 2 of the ID/05 services schedule are not included in the design fee and will be charged additional (ID/05 – clause 5.8).
4. Specialist artist work and/or computer animated walkthroughs/still, if requested by the client, are not generally included in our fee proposals. However, Stephenjohn Design will produce appropriate presentation materials within the fee proposal in order that the client or client’s representative can make sound and accurate decisions on progression of the brief.
5. All prices given in fee proposal are ex VAT.
6. Payments become due on submission of invoices and payment is to be made within 30 days of invoice date to our administration address. Please note – sums unpaid after receipt of our account will incurr interest in accordance with the Late Payments of Commercial Debts (interest) Act 1998 (clause 5.13 – ID/05 2005).
